Why? For people who can't make up their mind if they want truck or a car?

But those colors though...the only colors I remember were puke green and some shade of rusted burnt orange. I am sure there were others but those 2 stand out.

I bought a 66 Ranchero like this outside of Houston in the early 80's for a dollar. Put a battery in it and drove it for 2 years. Sold it for a dollar. Wish to God I would have kept it.

when I worked at the Caterie one of the Russo bros had one, he used to send me to pick up supplies or whatever, we'd drive the hell out of that thing it had like a 400 cu. in. engine in it

Good times at the Caterie. I think you mean Brousseau though.

Did you know the brother Mack that owned half of Uncle Earl's with Missy Jackson? When he sold out he went somewhere down to the islands to be a fishing guide-and drink, came back and cleaned fish at Venice Marina for years until he died.

He was a quarterback at Tulane. Caterie had the best fried cheese and the Dagwood.

Sorry for the thread hijack.

As did most cars in that era. Easy fix these days.

I bought one from Leon Pickard Chevrolet in 1980. Silver with burgundy interior. Had an eight-track tape player installed with four speakers. A great ride for 10 years.

the early el camino's were built on malibu (chevelle) chassis.

I think it was Chip Foose that made an "El Camaro" for Dale Jr.
