The fact that we have both mayoral and judge candidates campaigning on platforms of letting people get away with crimes tells you all you need to know about where this city/parish is headed. It is also very telling of the prevailing culture and why they'll always be at the bottom of society.

Heck, our current mayor pretty well said she was backing off the cops. We are seeing the results.

This is way more than just around you. Campaign on no accountability. First, it's "We'll get you your entitled benefits, so you don't have to work".
Now, it's "You want more stuff? It's OK, go ahead and take it, we won't prosecute and we may even fire any police officer that tries to stop you"
