We've been talking about Layne Staley all afternoon in another thread, but your story may be the saddest addiction story I've ever heard.

Today on Maury: "How I got hooked on nicotine gum".

welcome to vape nashe bro, lucky for you the southeast regional vape conference is in New Orleans in August. I'm set to compete in the "biggest clouds" category, hopefully I take home the trophy this year and get a ticket to nationals

I’ve used it before successfully and quit for 2 years. Started back when building my house. My FIL died from lung cancer not too long ago and it has greatly influenced my decision.

i quit dipping after close to 10 years of a can a day. i know your pain. just power through it. after about 2 weeks of misery you're gonna feel like a new person. it's nice not being a slave to a substance.

Get some 6mg. Then you can work down to 3mg. Then 0mg or quit.

Stay with it. I know plenty of people that have used it to quit smoking.

I use a pax era for cannabis which is based on the nicotine vape called juul which pax also makes. If the juul is anything like the era that’s the one I’d recommend trying. It’s really small and thin, no tanks to fill or buttons to push, and uses a cartridge that is pre filled.

to the extent possible it’s the least douchey to use

Replaced 1/2 pack a day with ecigs 4 years ago. Quit ecigs 2 years ago. Super easy I thought. The ecigs aren't as good as real cigs (probably because they don't have secret hyper addictive ingredients and mood altering substances like real cigs haha???) but they get you by with enough nicotine so you're not climbing the walls. But like I said they're not as good as the real thing so when you quit the ecigs you don't miss them as much. Can't say I feel great like people always do ( ooohoooo I feel great I'm so awesome for quitting blah blah) but cigs are bad for you, blood pressure, pulmonary function, bladder and lung cancer cancer etc. I loved smoking but I like living better. Plus I've see a few old people in their last months and the healthier you've lived your life has a lot to do with how hard or easy it is at the end, dying can get very very rough. Plus dying is trashy ( sorry couldn't resist )

I’m almost at 2 days without a cigarette, and I’ve only used the vape a few times..but I’m starting to get withdrawals like a mfer.

I did the same almost 3 years ago. Make yourself go a week then have a cigarette. It tasted so bad I never craved a cigarette again.
