I’m almost at 2 days without a cigarette, and I’ve only used the vape a few times..but I’m starting to get withdrawals like a mfer.

Anybody else ever tried to do this?

Just start talking to people about your vape. That seems to fill the void left by cigarettes.

You know what's trashy? Calling other people trashy. So old and tiresome on here.

I’m on day 2 of not having a smoke. I took the Chantix path. It is working.

Had an ex who was trying to quit, I tried the patches and gum out of curiosity. Appetite suppressant and a decent buzz before I got used to it

Yep. I quit over 3 years ago by switching to vapes. It's tough to quit but you have to take yourself out of situations causing your cravings like bars, traffic, etc. When I first decided to move completely off vape I took two weeks vacation and basically sat at home the whole time to avoid the high stress. Best decision I ever made. Good luck.

This is where you're making your mistake. Vaping is just like using a patch. It's about maintaining your nicotine level in the body. Hit it as often as needed. It's not like a cigarette where you may smoke one every hour.

You should not be having withdrawals. Over time you'll slowly lower the nicotine level of the vape juice. The carcinogens in a cigarette is the first thing to leave your body while vaping. This should last about three weeks. You won't feel it happening. After six months to a year, you should be able to set the vape down and never look back. Good luck man.

We've got a guy here a week off the pills. If he can quit dope, surely you can quit your Parliaments.

It helped me quit smoking after a 30 year habit. Not sure how much you were smoking but I started at 18mg for 3 months, moved down to 12 for 3 months, and stabilized at 6mg after 9 months. I had tried to quit before but nothing ever stuck before. It worked in getting me off of cigarettes which was awesome. No more stinking is of itself an awesome thing.

NOTES

1/ The kind of nicotine you receive from vaping (that is *vaporizing*) delivers much less immediate gratification than a cigarette (aka *combustion*). A cigarette will give you an immediate response whereas vaping takes a bit to get metabolized into your system. Just plan ahead.

2/ I 100% agree it is significantly less *cool* than smoking. Smoking says "I am little dangerous..." while vaping says "I'm a douchey hipster..." Them's the facts so as much as you felt like you needed to hide your smoking in this PC world, hide your vaping even harder.

3/ Concerts, flights, work, etc will all be soooo much easier now.

4/ Some flavors/brands that worked for me were Castle Long, VCT, and Azeroth. I didn't want the tobacco taste anymore (nor did I want to smell like it) so these were good "savory" flavors that let me let go of the tobacco stink.

Good luck.
