Call payroll and ask what is up. This also happened to me where I got like 20 times what I usually get each check. They said it was an accident, they did it with multiple people's paychecks and eventually took back the overage from my account.

HR lady happened to walk by. I showed her what happened. She asked that I email it to her. She said I was the first person to ever tell her that they got overpaid. I told her payroll is so messed up at this place that there's a chance it will never get fixed.

Tell them. Potential chance they'll let you keep it. Regardless, it's the right thing to do.

My company had accidentally continued to pay me per diem when I moved into the office, but it came with a raise so my direct deposit wasn't large enough to raise my eyebrow. Went on for like 3 months and eventually someone noticed. Basically put me on a payment plan based on my transfer letter and had to pay it back. I'd let someone know before they find out themselves and go ahead and return it.

If they find out, they're going to take it back. FYI

What kind of company is it? Large or small? Are there hourly employees where the payroll amount varies?

Just let it ride but be ready to pay it back because they will find out and take it from your next check

Only a true cuck would tell them they over paid you

They'll probably eventually figure it out. So, I would plan on that. I was overpaid last year, they figured it out a month later and I had to pay it back. I wasn't 100% sure that it was an overpay because I wasn't sure what my bonus was supposed to be, but I didn't spend it because I was wary that it was possibly an overpay.

Tell them. They probably can’t fire you for keeping it. They’d probably have a hard time getting it back. But when they find their mistake (and they will), they’ll also know you didn’t tell them. Trust will forever be eroded.

Pretend all is normal.

Years ago I had a Home Depot credit card with a balance of $650 or so. I had just purchase a patio furniture set.

A month later I received the bill, all normal.
Month after that I received a random credit of -$2700 approx.
I called customer service asking what's up and said they were going to look at it.
Month later, the statement was still showing the credit. I said fvck this, went to the store, went on a crazy shopping spree buying all kinds of tools, ceiling fans, light fixtures, etc etc. and left the card with a $10 balance.
Paid off the balance and closed the account.
End of story. Ceiling fans look nice and they have been hanging cool for over 15 years.

Email your supervisor or company owner and tell them thanks for the raise. Wait for them to respond.
