Have the 40v Ryobi trimmer. Bought it 3 years ago. Battery dies after about 18mos. Called Ryoni and they sent me a free new battery. Trimmer is great. Great not to have to deal with the gas engine. Plug in the battery and go. Want to get the blower next - mostly for the extra battery.

The Dewalt was on sale for the same price and took batteries I already had, so I got that.

I've never seen a Mexican lawn guy use one, so that might tell you something.

I have an average amount of trimming. More than a subdivision lot, but an hour should be sufficient time.

Don't waste your money, do yourself a favor and buy a Shindaiwa or Stihl. It will save you TIME which is $$$$. The best $275.00, you'll ever spend.

If I did lawn work for a living I'd get another Stihl. But I dont.

I have the 40 volt weed Wacker multi tool. I have had it for 3 years now and it works great. I did have to call Ryobi for a battery issue and they sent me a new one. I think I got mine at Home Depot and got the blower attachment.

I went to Lowes today and it was a shite show. All the self check outside were "down". They couldn't accept cards on most all the registers, cash only, and lines out the arse.

I have one. It trims great, but you’ll need a second battery if your yard is big. My only complaint is that it absolutely ate up trimmer line. I’d go through 1.5 spools per use which added up since the spools aren’t cheap. I’ve never had that issue with any other trimmer.

Spend the little bit extra and get the Echo versions. Worth it.

I bought that same one about 3 weeks ago....I've used it twice and it seems fine....my only complaint is that the auto feed doesn't seem to work all the time but I'm working with it.....I'm thinking of getting the plastic blade attachment that you can change the blade on....because edging with the plastic blades goes a lot faster but it is hell on the blades.

Yes go with plastic blades. The trimmer line is a PITA.
