You are thinking about this the wrong way. You are creating a cya paper trail justifying your worth to the company and making it difficult for them to fire you.

At the consulting firm I used to work for, the owner cared more about making sure we weren't costing him money than putting us in position through training and support to actually earn him more money. He spent countless hours tracking our computer usage and often gave people enough rope to hang themselves instead of stepping in and getting them on the right track for a project.

Has management above your boss changed in some way?

Often, when there is a shake up above you, that will present itself as a bunch of people trying to push information upwards to prove their value or give the new person an understanding of what everyone actually does.

In any event, keep your head down and keep cranking those reports. Like someone said above, don’t half-do them. Give it about a month and if things haven’t settled down, then start thinking about an exit strategy

Yes and this is likely the case

Welcome to the real world. Imagine having to justify/document ALL of your work in six minute increments at all times forever. Sucks, but I need a job (and actually have a good one), so I deal with it.

The irony is strong in this one.

If you weren't posting at work on TD all the time, she wouldn't have to micromanage you.
