it will be 6 years for me next month. I have no problem hanging with friends who smoke, I still keep nicotine substitutes around for when drinking with smokers where the urge might come back. I have not touched a tobacco product in the six years.

Congratulations on the two years, and also you should be ashamed of yourself.

No, but a couple of decent home cooked meals and some boxed wine got her to.

I am 2.5 years since I quit smoking. I went the first 14 months without a cigarette but the first time that I had more than a couple of drinks on a duck hunting trip I smoked nearly a pack of cigarettes that weekend. This was in January 2019. I didn't have another cigarette until football season when I would have a few drinks during game day. I haven't had a drink or a cigarette since football season. If I drink I will smoke so I just have to either quit drinking or live with the fact that I will smoke when I drink.

Time to re-dedicate your self and get back on that wagon.

Mistakes happen, but you shouldn't want to waste that time spent without cigarettes.

I know that would be more aggravating than anything to me; being off cigarettes for 2 years and then going back.

This is me. I’ve never smoked unless I was drinking. It seems absolutely gross to me when I’m not drinking. However, if I pop a top, I’m also lighting a heater. I’m not gonna stop drinking, so I’ll settle for smoking a pack every four days or so.

Been smoke free for 22 years. Smoked for 21 up until that. Stupid fricking habit, and costly.

Just take a couple whiffs of a filled ash tray. That will get you back on the wagon.

never really understood why this is a thing for a lot of people. Guess they start out with everything socially, and the association of the two becomes so strong that they cant enjoy one without the other

Quit 25 years ago. If I smoked one today, I’d smoke a pack tomorrow.
