That's not for me. I don't ever want to have to live in a place where I have to shovel snow.
To me, Boise gets the best of both worlds. It's a high desert climate that gets cold, but it doesn't get a ton of precipitation (snow). I only had to shovel my driveway once last winter. On the other hand, there are mountains that receive more precipitation within an hour or two, so you'll still have access to decent skiing.

I got turned down for a job which would have had me relocating to a Denver suburb near the Mountains. Thanks for reminding me that I'm trapped here.

I’d rather live in mowata than any big liberal city.

The way Zion is printing money, people buying houses will look back on today's prices with nostalgia. All that filthy Yankee money has to go somewhere.

If I didn't have family and a career in SELA, I'd pack up and move somewhere like this without a second thought.
Yeah, but do they have festivals, parades, and the WhoDat nation there? I bet you can’t listen to Bobby Hebert there either.

Keep driving. Northern Colorado, Western Colorado and SW Colorado are a lot nicer than where you are now.

You can immediately tell that CO is the skinniest state in the country.
It is all relative, though. 35 years ago, Colorado was the also the skinniest State and Louisiana was either the fattest or in the Top 3 fattest with Mississippi.
Today, Colorado is fatter than Louisiana was 30 years ago. :letthatsinkin:

I’m looking for a new country. The USA is in decline.

Careers can change and family can visit. But you wasting your one life you have to stay in Louisiana is just dumb.

Yeah, it's a beautiful place. I left La. at 18 (military) and have been all over the country.
I lived in Utah for about 20 years before relocating to Arizona last year. I can tell you, that whole area...Utah, Colorado, Wyoming, Montana...is some of the most beautiful scenery anywhere. Salt Lake is nestled right in the valley amongst the Wasatch and Uintah mountains.
I lived in a mountain community and waking up to that every day was just beautiful. Northern Arizona is beautiful as well and I'm a short 1.5 hr drive to Flagstaff for the mountains there.

Stop it.
Please.
Stop talking now.
Colorado is a shithole.
Western Slope and N. Colorado are even worse.
Everyone needs to stay away.

A gripe I have with my neighbors is how they trash texans.
It's the californians they should be rejecting.
Sure, there's lazy, fat, inconsiderate texans zipping around on side-by-sides trashing the lands, but they are by and large much better people than the goddamn left-coasters infiltrating the region.
