Insurance might be an issue. when I shipped some stuff outside the states, they had a disclaimer they’d only track and insure the package until it exited US territory.

I immediately have questions.

Can I get some reptiles shipped in one of those fake cans of peanut brittle but instead of fake snakes that come flying out... real snakes?

Anchorage is one of the largest freight terminals in the world, people are wierd about shipping to AK and there is no reason.

From where I am it’s s lot more expensive to ship to HI and AK, FedEx charges can vary significantly state to state. it is much more expensive for me to ship to Utah than California.

You could mail one day old chickens to Puerto Rico about 10 days after the last big hurricane there.
People were receiving chicks 72 hours after being mailed from the US mainland.

lol

It is different. There are higher fees associated with those two and, more importantly, shipping times get fricked. Which, in many cases, the seller has to then pay the shipping costs since the package did not meet the agreed on timeline.

I have a friend in California whose business is manufacturing reproduction parts for antique machinery who refuses to ship in California because he does not want to deal with all of the different taxing districts there.
