I'd say look at all sources for Laco watches and see what's available. This one is a 42mm sapphire crystal automatic for ~$500. I'd wear it, though 42 is a tad big, erreday.

$500 falls into some of the smaller micro brands or large sellers like citizen, seiko, casio, etc

There are 100's if not more watches in this category. I would personally go with the Seiko Black Monster.

I really like my Orange Monster. I have worn it nearly everyday for 10 years and it's been great.

I liked my Citizen, but I dropped it from chest height onto a table (stupid mistake while trying to put it on and not paying attention) and it ceased to function after that. Didn't hit too hard. I could easily see bumping into a door or a wall with it on my wrist and causing the same shock force. Wasn't worth working on it.

I've since grown fascinated with automatic watches.
