Yes I do, McMansion trash. Couldn't have happened to a better people.

It's a good thing you moved out of state, because there are plenty of baws on this site that would gladly meet you at Sonic. You do realize that most of Baker and North BR flooded right along with LP and AP people that you are so quick to label as trash? You're an a-hole through and through and just as bad as the OP to make assumptions and judgements on others without even knowing them. If you didn't flood, then consider yourself lucky, but karma is a bitch. If you think you were only spared because you were smart, I'd love to be able to see what the good Lord has in store for you one day.

70805 got hit hard with flooding. One of the zip codes the OP ran away from.

A few of my dad's rentals flooded. Luckily none of my family's homes did. We came about a foot from it at our house. I had guns laying on every counter in the house that night

Why do people move here and then try to change everything? We were doing just fine before the white flight from BR got here. Actually better.

On a more serious note than my other posts, OP there are multiple reasons. I for one no longer fly it, haven’t in over 15 years. I do love my civil war history though.

The four points you made put it all in context.

The truth is that many whites are tolerant of stuff, but they just wont admit. They will tolerate what goes on around them, but wont really do anything about it because it doesn't benefit them.

As a black person, If see the Confederate flag as a "leave me alone" symbol and just dont interact with those. Even if they arent racist (and they may not be) it's simply not worth the hassle.

I wonder how long someone could get away with flying an actual Confederate flag, and not the Army of Tennessee Battle Flag that for some reason gets retroactively interpreted as THE definitive Confederate flag?

(I'm going to guess very few people flying a "Confederate Flag" know that).

Other Stats:

Years Slavery was legal under a Confederate flag: 0

(Technicality since the Emancipation Proclamation was in effect for the most of the war and applied only to the Confederate states, and the modern presentation of the Confederate flag was never a Confederate Government flag).

Years Slavery was legal under the US flag: To quote Lincoln "4 score and 7 years ... and then a few more years for good luck" 1776 - 1865

I obviously can’t speak for everyone that displays a confederate flag but many people display that flag to honor relatives or ancestors that fought in the confederate army. It has nothing to do with offending black americans.

As another poster stated, they really made a resurgence a few years ago when Democrat politicians started tearing down confederate statues and trying to erase history.

I'm pretty sure most Blacks weren't behind that. They may have been used as the reason, but white liberals probably coerced the government to take the statues down.

I personally dont care either way about the statues. People show their colors through how they actually treat the people, not symbolism.

That still pisses me off that you said that. I bet you're one of those assholes that said some stupid shite about how Katrina did us a great service by washing New Orleans off the map or something. I'd love to have a crack at your dumb arse and get your arse on the ground and break both your arms off at the elbows and shoulders with some Americana practice. No tap-outs here.
