What’s the difference between a confederate flag in LP and a Mexican flag in California? Both were conquered and their land stolen. So if I’m offended by the Mexican then I should get on some forum and whine?

Many people are offended because they see the Confederate flag as a symbol of racism and slavery. And I can understand that, because moron groups like the Klan have adopted it. But others had ancestors who fought (and often died) for the Confederacy and see it as a historical symbol.
Mommy is a member of UDC, and they go around tending the graves of dead Confederate soldiers. My family never owned a single slave (they weren't rich). And they certainly never cared what color a person's skin is.

People want to take it back from them. But in doing so, if you fly it..to onlookers, you must agree with the KKK. People have to accept that if they fly it, they may be branded by people who assume things. I hope in years its looked at differently.

To me it symbolizes rebellion torwards leadership/dictatorship. Which is always needed.

I agree that countries, businesses, and certain leaders need to be humbled occasionally to know that people have the right to self determination.
I think what's happened in recent decades is that the technological innovation in military weapons has made a traditional rebellion (like the Civil War) an unfeasible prospect. The biggest reason being that people don't think of themselves as state citizens, but as Americans.

It's possible to have a good balance of races that live in harmony.
My experience is that a 3:1 white to black ratio has relatively few problems.
The issue isnt completely racial. As you stated economics play a big role in where people live. If you live in a high tax state but have a low paying occupation, then moving to a lower cost state is a great deal. The catch is that a certain profile of white people also tend to be in that situation too. Even if you make good money, the location of your job may attract unsavory elements of all stripes (see New Orleans).
And in fairness, same goes for black people who migrate to cities for work. They may be hardworking, but another profile of Blacks are the majority of the city.

I know somebody who got arrested in Kenner for ripping a rebel flag front plate off a pickup truck.
