Brother, I think you’re missing the point entirely. I’m not in favor of canceling anyone—Left or Right. Let people make their own bed. But when it’s taxpayer-funded, like NPR and PBS, you can’t be that blatantly biased. That’s why it’s being celebrated.
If FOX News was subsidized by the tax payers, would you not celebrate them being defunded? Yes, you would.

Who will tell me how to get to Sesame Street? Guess I will have to learn how to read a map.
I was just about to write that there’s probably an app for that now.
So since I’m using my phone I checked. Yep, sure enough is a Sesame Street app.

If they were the only ones he was going after and it was solely about funding then it would be another story. He’s in the process of getting rid of anyone who disagrees with him. Surely even you can see that. When you turn on the tube and all you see is trump then I guess you’ll be happy. This behavior has been seen before and it never ends well.
zero self awareness of what we all endured the last 4 years

The federal grants to local stations usually are less then ten percent of their funding.
WYES in New Orleans got $300,000 from federal Grants last yeart which is against $5.6 million in total revenue.
The rich folks who watch can donate a little more. "PBS viewers are generally characterized by their higher income levels compared to the average consumer. This is reflected in their educational backgrounds, with many being post-graduate degree holders. PBS viewers are also more likely to have an investment portfolio worth over $250,000, indicating a higher level of financial sophistication. This demographic profile highlights PBS's appeal to educated and affluent audiences
Perhaps they can shut down the duplicate PBS station, WLAE, and combine donots.

if its quality content, then private funding should keep everything shipshape.

Yeah bc Trump is the ONLY person that doesn't like public broadcasting being a mouthpiece for the left... none of us voted for this.
You can still listen to MSNBC for your talking points.

Growing up my grandparents and mother used to listen to prairie home companion and car talk those are the two I miss the most but really the entire radio shows were amazing and any time I was driving on a road trip npr was exactly what we would listen to. True captivating radio….. it’s all gone now, the Democratic Party and the like ruined npr and made it something it was t supposed to be by cutting out American values.
