I honestly think I could adjust easily to this. Single, just need somewhere to sleep & store my simple belongings, just go out/stay at gf place if want ‘room’. Get to save $ quickly at that price (in NYC)

My niece had a new apartment in NY that was nicer and bigger and it was $1600/month. It had a nice kitchen, bathroom and living area.

Have a friend spending around that much for a one bedroom/900 sqft in Upper East Side. Has everything other than washer and dryer. Someone is choosing to live in 72sqft because they prob think it’s cool and in West Village.

I understand her motivation and I succumb to it myself- within reason. I don't live in North Dakota.

That said, there has to be a happy medium here. One of the best things about the NYC metro is that there are trains you can take into Manhattan from all over the place. You don't have to actually live in Manhattan.

Also, here's her Instagram. Would.

Big ole wood. Also. She’s spending that money just as a closet. She’s sleeping at her BFs place or frick buddies place or... you get the idea.

Hell. She could start an OF and move out of her prison cell.

You aren’t saving money in NYC when you have to eat out for every single meal

I guess my 3000 sq ft on 3.5 acres is just the wrong way to go about living life.
