I like how the news portrays the aggressor as the victim.

LINK

The "victim" gets out of the car at the front door of the club with a gun out, proceeds to walks towards the front door with the gun in hand. The security guards shoots and kills him, and there is even a consideration of charges being filed!? I'm so glad I'm out of MS on the 31st of this month.

The link clearly stated they DO NOT plan on charging the security guard.

It also says they are turning the case over to the DA office. It shouldn't even have to go that far in my opinion.

Don't ALL shootings go to the DA?

Mexican dude in Texas caught a guy raping his daughter (pre teen). Takes a fricking rock, because it's all he could find, and bashes the dudes skull in. It went to DA. Never think he was arrested, just detained on scene. Cops more or less said, "whattaya want?" And turned him loose, but case went to DA.

Is Mississippi an open carry state? If so, that guard should be tossed in jail.

If he feared for his life is he not allowed to defend himself in MS?

Not that I agree with that line of thinking

Correct. You are over-thinking this. "Victim" is just to reference the guy who is now on the slab not that implying he was subject to some injustice. Likely if the write had used "the deceased" instead it wouldn't have set you off, but this is standard terminology.

Does open carry mean you're never allowed to hold your gun???

When did we become so pussified as a country that the sight of someone holding a gun means we must immediately shoot the poor bastard?

I assumed all of it because it was devoid of common sense.
