Well it is weird how it's pushed. I mean i'm fine with it. I'm in an interracial relationship but i can still recognize how there seems to be some sort of media driven racial agenda wihen it comes to advertising. There's a good market analysis reason for this. I just don't know what it is.

Everyone buys cars. Maybe they're just trying to appeal to everyone. Not just white people. Not just black people. Not just Asians. Not just Hispanics. Not just Middle Eastern people. Not just martians.
If they make a commercial with people of all races, it might appeal to more people. Not just whites, blacks, Asians, Hispanics, or Middle Eastern people.
Interracial couples may feel more comfortable being around other interracial couples, than being around a group that's all of one race. From reading this thread, I guess there are still pockets of this country where they might get stared at, or even hassled about it.
If they make a commercial with people of all races, it might appeal to more people. Not just whites, blacks, Asians, Hispanics, or Middle Eastern people.

It appeals to women (who are really the ones buying consumer goods now). They want to be reassured that they can get railed by any random lantern-jawed protagonist type they can reel in, without judgment.
Showing a white woman with a black man, or vice-versa, is a way to signal that your organization is on board with the creation of a world where that holds true.
The interracial thing is honestly a bit dated (I just hope my daughters don't date complete frickin' losers), but it's a good proxy for a lot of sh1t tests that women expect businesses to pass.
