Watched it last night. Was pretty good. Kid has had a rough terrible life. It will take a lot to get him to be somewhat normal. Dude is ice cold and can’t really show feelings. Burt was a POS.

That is a sign of abuse and trauma. When you live in situation where at any moment there can be violence your body shuts down.
The parts of the interview that showed this kid 2 months after his case was settled he was shaking and crying. He is finally living in a peaceful environment where he can begin to let his feelings and emotions show.
Imagine living in a world where you have to be perfectly still and quite for years in an effort to avoid any reaction from your parent.
Burt's parents are awful. They witnessed him abusing this child's mother and gave her a ride. But they didn't step up to help this child, their grand child.
Burt was a bully. He knew not to screw around with his wife's male family members. He hid from them. True sign of a coward. Burt needed a punch in the mouth. Men like him pray on women and children because they can.
Good on this kid for shooting him. Hope Burt is rotting in hell. Would have liked it better to see him in prison but death will work.

The cycle of abuse on his mom's side of the family is just sad. He would've never had a chance with his dad still around. I don't think I could've come to a guilty conclusion.

I was also a project engineer, now retired. Burt Templet looks very familiar, like I have seen before, just don't know where. Does anyone know some of the plants or companies he worked for? Did he maybe go to car shows? Dude looks very familiar.
