How do you not get a pain pill prescription filled cause you can tolerate the pain?

Yea, it's not like doctors have been over prescribing pain pills and directly attributing to the opioid addiction problem that has wrecked all types of families in all corners of the country. Pop those pills baby

When I had surgery on a broken hand years ago, they prescribed me 180 Lortab (60 w/ 2 refills). I needed 1. And I actually didn’t really need that 1 - I took it before the numbness wore off because I was expecting it to hurt. I was very surprised I didn’t have any post-op pain, but I didn’t.

Not the physicians fault people are fricking weak and can’t use it as prescribed.

Hydrocodone bitartrate and acetaminophen

depending on the dosage but at least $5 to $10 on the street, don't snort it though.

You will still become physically addicted taking them as prescribed genius. I don't care who you are or how strong willed you think you are, if you take any type of opiate for an extended period of time your body will become dependent on it.

Do what I did.
Take 2 and lay in bed at night and enjoy life while you have them.
Then don’t be a dope feign and go buy more or try to get more prescribed

Go ahead and buy some x-lax the same time you fill your rx
it can cause the runs, stomach pains and constipation.

Who gets the runs on opiods? Those things plug you up like dry concrete in your a-hole.

You’ve come to the right place. The medical advice on this forum is far and away better than anything a doctor could give you.

It is when they know the risks of addiction but still prescribe them 30, 60, or 90 at at time to people that don't necessarily need them.

Source: the 55 hydrocodone pills sitting in my medicine cabinet from a minor surgery a few years ago. Wtf did I need 90 of those for?

I work for a company that goes out and collects unused pain pills which we will then destroy. Do you mind if I stop by?

It’s highly a highly addictive schedule II narcotic. Follow directions and don’t take them for too long and you should be ok. You can actually become physically dependent on them without being addicted to them. And don’t wash it down with a frosty beer.

Source: I have a lot more experience with this stuff than I wish I did. Im free of it now.

I honestly think I'm going to flush them when I get home. Idk why I've held onto them besides a habit of holding onto unused meds.

They cause constipation but you will experience diarrhea if you run out and you are physically dependent on them.

Don’t mix alcohol. The mix with Tylenol can do permanent liver damage.

NO...

put the unused meds in used coffee grounds or in a wet paper towel, place in the middle of the trash can, and then take out the trash like normal... also, peel the label with your name and prescription number off the bottle before tossing that... deface/tear up/shred the label before tossing it...

flushing meds just adds that shite to our water supply...

Not reading 4 pages so sorry if already posted...

I got norco for back pain from box-doc but never took them all because they didn’t work as well as heating pad, rest, and steroids.

They’ll make you feel ok, emotionally, and take the edge off, but so does a six pack.

Keep the norco hidden in your pantry for a rainy day.

Using as prescribed means having to follow a step down dosage at the end of the prescribed time period because you will already be physically dependent and suffer withdrawal symptoms if stopped cold turkey.
