I just finished reading “One Second After” by William R. Forstchen

It’s about an EMP attack on the US. I will be buying some stuff in the very near future including an old dirt bike, night vision and more ammunition. I’m also going to be damn sure I stay in shape. A pace maker or diabetes is a death sentence. I highly recommend reading the book.

The Posse is a scary concept. Imagine all the street racers and drug dealers forming a militia. The cops and military are the only ones with enough training and resources to oppose them.
The cops would stick together and would probably be a gang similar to The Posse. Awesome series to read.

Read that one recently as well. Definitely gave me somewhat of a hopeless feeling, but it was a good read.

Within ten weeks 80-90% of the population will be dead. Disease will kill the most people. Ultimately military, law enforcement, medical and infrastructure workers will be the only people that eat and live. A business suit is a uniform and it will get you killed.

I keep looking at the rock salt near the checkout at Target. I laugh every time I see the 50lb bags thinking I bet those are the same bags that were stocked when the store was opened. Now I think I might buy 2-3 bags. It will be worth way more than cash.

It’s a great book. The aspect of the initial die off of the critically ill followed by the slow eventual die off of those needing chronic medications like diabetes and other types was heart wrenching to the ink about as it was framed in the vessel of his daughter.

Similar thing happens in Alas Babylon and the peaceful groups ultimately decides to defend itself and kill the posse in an ambush
