Part of the Buc-ees appeal is that you’re an hour away from the beach.

here's me at the new Buc-ees in Athens, AL looking for a beach...

The biggest allure to Bucees is the cleanliness and service. Not sure how that will work in Louisiana.

This is how: Photo taken May 26, 2021 in Terrell, TX. They might pay better now.

RSN does NOT suck & is becoming a great little college town. It also the best mayor in the State, by far.
Ruston should continue to aim to be the antithesis of Baton Rouge & it’ll be just fine.

Ruston’s economy is booming. Great university, very low crime, great local government, world class golf course 10 minutes outside of town, very good high school, the list goes on and on. But of course it’s no Oak Grove!

Someone hasn't been to Ruston lately. It's not Monte Carlo, but it is easily one of the nicest places in Louisiana now.

The majority of folks on here still think Ruston is dry ??.

This Ruston location has been known for at least 6 months. I alluded to it in the last Buc-ees thread on TD, but didn’t want to start a pissing contest with those that assumed the first in LA would be along I-10 somewhere.

Ruston is crushing it right now! The new sports complex has been drawing huge travel ball crowds and packing the hotels and restaurants. Downtown markets and food trucks make it a nice place to visit and shop. And Squire Creek is just down the road.

Let the uniformed continue to be uninformed.??

You need to just take your L and gtfo.

It's rare to see someone double down on such stupidity.

We will appreciate your tax dollars, nonetheless, when you stop to visit our Buc-cees location.

I grew up in Ruston, moved out in the mid 90s, crazy how it has changed. Still come home almost every month to see family. Great for Ruston if true.

There's been a lot of smoke over the last year that Buc-ees are interested in putting one off 49 in Ellic. Loves is fighting it like hell. The rumor is they've already bought the land and want to start building in 2025.

They will pay enough so it will work. I'm betting that store will hire a lot of college kids.
