I have jury duty today

This is the 5th time I've been called and I'm only 29. I've had just about enough of this civil duty crap!

I'm taking the Larry David approach

I'm a resident. I have absolutely zero time to spare to at the fricking courthouse. They denied that excuse to get out though.

Got out of the first one, sat on a 5.5 day trial the last time, so I'm exempt for 1.5 years, but I heard once you show up that first time, you are on the every 12 months list....good luck

I'm 39 and have gotten the letter a few times. Luckily every time I've called the night before the recording told me that I didn't have to go.

How do you know which parish you'll get called for duty? Is it the one listed for voting or on your drivers license?

36, and I've done it three times... two local level and one for federal court. I never ended up making it to a jury though.
