On a separate note, what the hell are some of these people thinking with their attire? There are some pitiful creatures on this earth.

No. They pull from DMV and Voter Registration records.

I commented last week that I felt like I was sitting in a Spirit Airlines boarding area.

You'd be held in contempt of court and have a bench warrant issued.

I can't even focus right now, because I'm too excited thinking about what to spend my $25 plus mileage on!

Find a way to work in jury nullification and you'll get dismissed. Even judges don't like that brought up.

Assuming he ends up being interviewed during the voir dire, his chances of being selected are slim. Most young, educated, professional person are removed by one side or both.

Yeah, I'm pretty confident I won't be picked. I just don't want to wait around a couple of days to find that out

Here's some social behavior I noticed when showing up for the pool.

When they're giving instructions about how long a trial can possibly take, listen to the sighs. The louder the sigh, the more valuable that person believes his time is than that of other people. Book it.

My favorite is the lady just got finished explaining when you would be able to submit a request to be excused. Not 1 minute later 2 people raise their hands asking to be excused. People are so fricking stupid.

I am 38 and have had it twice, both times it was cancelled. My mom served on a federal case before. I have a friend who made it past the first day and didn't want to miss anymore work so he told the judge he was racist.

I have been called to 4 juries and served on two.

one haunts me to this day.

I should be allowed to get out of any more just for that one.

No. I wasn't registered to vote and got called twice.

It is by drivers license.
