re: I have a sack of crawfish I need to hold until tomorrow afternoon. Whats best to keep them

I've put them in plastic pool before with water from pond. They were pissed off and ready to fight the next morning

Get a sack that's a similar color but big enough to fit your entire body in, then crawl inside and lay next to the other sack. Then talk to them and tell them they need to soldier on until the next day when they can all be freed. Tell them you too are a crawfish and you've been through this cycle several times. They will probably believe you because they're not very smart.

I put mine in an ice chest, pull plug, prop up opposite end of plug with a brick or something, and then throw 2 bags of ice on them, unopened. close the lid, but not all the way, with a little crack. Allows the melted ice condensate over them, with oxygen to breathe and the water drains out so none drown

Leave them in the sack, find an ice chest or container that will fit them laying down. Cover with ice, and make sure the container is tilted to drain any standing water. Obviously have a low point drain open

Honestly boil them now. Leftover crawfish are often better
