Try a staffing service, while it may not be the job you want it will be a job

I’d be willing to bet there’s no intention of ever creating a new job position for OP when his previous one is being eliminated

I'd go try to get your managers job.

Good luck, man. At least you've got some notice.

Eh, maybe.
My manager keeps making comments about “we need to get you a new position,” or “don’t joke about the future until we have a new position for you.”
Her manager was a bit more minimalist.
“We May or may not. Just und Rostand we are reviewing everything you do.”

As I said, I’m comfortable adapting to anything. But I don’t know near enough about the day to day to do her job. I’m more of a project guy. I’m the Middle man between her and software developers.

Either this is an awesome troll or a brilliant unintended line.

Got laid off 3 times since I graduated two years ago. It sucks arse, but you just got to let not get to you. You guys will find something. Trying to decide if I should keep working in my same industry, or back to school for something. Not sure.

The economy is at an all-time high. Corporate profits have never been better. How could this happen To you?

This.
So they are saying “We really want you to work extra hard for the next 90 days and we may or may not keep you.”
Good companies do not let good employees leave. So either you work for a terrible company or you’re just an average employee.
It should not be hard to find another analyst position in the financial sector.

They’d fit you in somewhere if this were the truth. You have a cold dose of reality on the way.
