I'm nervous about the emergency automatic braking systems too. The commercial straight up shows a woman daydreaming about being on the voice before nearly murdering the people in the car in front of her before her emergency brakes come on. She even sits there with a look on her face like she knows she almost killed people. How many dumb c unts are gonna rely on that shite to save them?

I bought a truck 2 moths ago and this is the first time I ever had a back up camera. I can't seem to get used to it. I still use mirrors and tun my head to look. I do use to however to see how many inches I can get my trailer hitch to the bumper behind me.

One woman I know only uses her camera. She parallel parked the other night in the dark at a fast pace. Only looking at her camera. I was a nervous wreck. It worked out though but it's only a matter of time.

Women driving will always be the issue. Applies to just about every woman I know. Usually they have cars too big for them to drive and are paying attention to anything but what's going on around them

Well she was about 5'2 driving a chevy traverse.

I recently got a 4Runner with the rear camera and am still getting used to it. I can understand how people would become over-dependent on it, though. They think they see the entire area behind their car without realizing that the lens on the camera doesn't show the blind spots. More than a couple of times I've turned my head, seen someone walking behind, and then watching the camera display to see them pass. It's sometimes a second or two before they even show up in the camera's field of view. If the driver doesn't realize this and only uses the camera, they'll kill someone someday.

Only stupid people don't maually check their rear view and blindspots.

Um, actually if you've been paying attention to your surroundings you should already know what is in your blind spot and rear view. Just keep a good mirror scan going.

If you're only using your mirrors when you are about to do something like change lanes, etc. then you're doing it wrong. You should be checking your mirrors almost as often as you're looking straight ahead through the windshield.

I have a Gump friend from Alabama. He came over to the house a month or two ago and backed up into my mailbox when leaving. He has a backup camera. My mailbox is across the street. No way should you ever back straight up out of my driveway, you should always have to cut to get into the road. He backed up straight into my mailbox. Gumps are not smart.
