But when people watch a movie or series in actual history, they prefer it be as accurate as possible. And when the historic inaccuracy is due to a political agenda, that makes it even worse.
well just muster up all the power in you and pretend that one black guy isn't there.
I doubt they are gonna show him mowing down 200 soldiers by himself and turning the tide of the battle so the impact on the history of the battle they are telling will be negligible.

I read a story long time ago about Chinese who fought got the south in the civil war. Not really common. I'll look for it.

I need Moor information.

Fun Fact:
The Battle of Hastings didn’t occur at Hastings.
It happened a bit northeast (~6 miles) of there out in the countryside and now the place where the battle occurred is called “Battle”.
William the Conqueror built an Abbey on the site of where Harold was killed.
Battle Abbey
Duh
It’s mostly now gone but another ecclesiastical complex grew up beside it and it still houses a Hogwarts-like looking school.
Cool place to visit if you’re in the area.

Another unknown, interesting fact is that there were actually 3 African ladies who worked as computists in a back room of a castle. They used math principles to come up with the battle plan and angles of attack. Somebody should make a movie about this.
The true heroes of Aigncourt
Worst part is they had to travel far out of the castle walls for a latrine they were allowed to use, and then their leaders had the audacity to complain how long their breaks were.

If tweet fails to load, click here. Go check X. There’s more examples. According to the BBC, the armies at Hastings were quite diverse.
This guy is one of the featured characters…
He plays a fictional Anglo-Saxon Nobel. How many black Anglo-Saxon nobles do you think there were in 1066?
And this guy…
Is playing Morcar who was a real Earl of Northumbria.
LINK
Of course, that’s what the BBC does now. After all, it wasn’t that long ago they helped Amazon portray the King of England as a black disabled homosexual…

You do know what this word means and how that's not the same as what the OP posted?

now we are mad about fantasy shows too?
I noticed you skipped over the part where I showed two of the main characters, Anglo-Saxon nobels no less, have been race swapped.

The guy playing Morcar looks whiter than me
Are you going through every casting choice with a color wheel and trying to find which ones are a shade too dark? Thats dedication to finding something to be upset about

Is it a terrible stretch?
The mental gymnastics and suspension of common sense here is astounding.
It's become way too obvious that when you guys want something to be true very, very badly, you think all you have to do is figure out a way that it could possibly, in some universe of thought, have a minute chance of happening. Subsequently it must be represented prominently in film and or literature, or else someone is being a racist.

So, you’re pretending your defense of this practice has nothing to do with the fact you like that they’re making historically white characters black? For you, it’s about race. That’s because you’re a racist who sees everting through the lens of race. For me, it’s about being accurate when making a history piece. I’d be equally pissed if they cast a historic black character as white, or a Japanese character as Hispanic. I jsit want history to be told as it was and not how modern day leftists want to rewrite it.

This is quite the spin since you guys are the ones that always bring it up.
I dont care about what color skin the characters have, i care if the script and battle scenes are good. Thats what will determine whether or not the show is good.

We’re not the ones doing all the race swapping, that’s your side’s thing. If, as you are inferring race doesn’t matter, then why bother swapping them?

I hate to break it to you but i dont work for the BBC or in film/television period.

No, you’re just a loser on a message board defending them.

Look at something like Histories by Herodotus. Does it not being 100% accurate make it not a good book?
This is just a tv show. It isnt rewriting history.
The goal is to entertain and tell a story, not to be used as a primary source for your term paper.
