I guess technically this obituary is correct but it seems in poor taste

Yeah, that should be changed.

Obituaries should tell the cause of death. It bothers me that they don't for some reason.

I wouldn't say it bothers me but when its someone really young, or an associate that I have known previously, it makes me curious. There's been a few people I went to HS with pass away and some of them I still have no idea how they passed.

The obituary told the truth but not the whole truth. It is a sad situation for the family.

Oof. I saw her TikTok yesterday where she was saying how amicable the divorce was going and she seemed excited.

It's an obituary, not a death certificate.

There is no reason for the family to list cause of death in an obituary and it could be construed as a bit of invasion of privacy to some.

Although some do actually list the cause while some will say "In lieu of flowers, please donate to such and such cause" be it AA, NA, Cancer Research, National Suicide Prevention Hotline, etc. that hints at what happened.

When I was in college, I worked at Lowe’s. There was an older lady that was a cashier. Nice lady, quite just kind of kept to herself. We were unaware but she was divorcing her husband and talking to another older man that worked there. Husband came in a shot and killed her as she was working the return desk. I was off that day but it was chaotic to say the least. A group of us were going to attend her wake but we were unaware that the kids decided to bury them together. We walking in and the dad/murder is laying in a casket next to the mom who was murdered. It was very weird and we just said our respects and left.

I’m always curious as to how someone died, but it’s not any of our business.

We dont have a right to know how someone died. If you’re close to someone you will know. If you don’t know, chances are you aren’t close enough to want to know for any reason other than morbid curiosity.

Yea, they were his world, yet ruined their lives by killing their mom and then killed himself

This whole obituary should be taken offline. frick that guy

Obituaries are often paid by the family to run like an add. They put what they want,

I had a friends dad's obit that listed his wife and longtime sidepiece as survivors.

She looks like she may have been kind of hot.

Was she?

Often? I thought it was always. Unless an actual news article for someone notable who died.

His name was Brandon and he lived in Brandon?

So Brandon Police confirmed Brandon killed Brandon's wife and Brandon in Brandon?

Yeah, probably so future people don't make the connection.
