Lucky that you weren't in NOLA. On a Friday you would have gone to central lockup for the weekend so that the civil sheriff could bill the state $12 per meal for delicious tuna sandwiches with no condiments.

I bet money the op is an entitled douche. Be a man or woman, say you got me this time and move on. I was speering the other day and got a ticket. I told the cop that the ticket was fair aND we went on, I paid it and my life went on.

I'm glad someone asked this question. IMHO it's a good one.

That said, they're both still distractions. You're driving a multiton vehicle. Yes, changing the radio station is a distraction even though legal.
