So you’re in favor of granting custody to shitty women and mothers? I’m sure you also think this money is going to the care of these children.

Got it. You don’t know what you’re talking about.

50/50 custody doesn't mean no child support in most cases.

I'd love to see a push to reform family court, but in a way the divorce / family law industry is a swamp like D.C.

Based only on the information provided, you have deduced he was the better parenting option?

I’ve defended many a man that should have received at least 50 and got stuck with less than 50 because the benefit of the doubt is given to the mother. The father always has to prove they’re capable and is constantly working from behind. It’s not right, no matter your backwards arse feelings on the subject.

He is actually right, the disparity in father's rights as opposed to mother's rights in family court proceedings dealing with divorce (spousal support, child support, visitation etc.) is pretty astounding. He's not just trolling, shite they have women attorneys that are part of advocate groups for men's rights in this regard.

Edit: But OP is almost certainly trolling

I agree, but I also agree the custody/child support courts heavily favor mom, but when it comes to kids suckit up for their sake.

It’s gotten better, but still a ways to go. However, custody and support aren’t tied together in the sense that Rusty implied in his first post.

I'm not trolling. I'm dead serious.

They took the $1200 and gave me the $600.

There is absolutely no shame in this.

You’re incorrect. They’re directly linked. Child support is determined based on income and time with the child.

Oh I didn't read all of it, I just was referring to him saying that there are a lot of situations where the father is the better parent for custody and the court is inclined to give the children to the mother as domiciliary parent. But I have no quarrel with your post.

I never ever want to have to participate in, practice in, or deal with divorce proceedings ever lol.

Edit: But WDE and Rusty, are you both referring to Louisiana rules? It varies some from state to state, although idk how much it varies with regard to child support calculations and custody. All I remember is something about the BIOC factors for custody or something idk, like I said I don't wanna have to deal with that stuff.

Not in the way you implied in your first post.

quote:

Child support is determined based on income and time with the child.
But more time with the child could potentially reduce support obligation and failure to pay support won’t result in reduced custody or visitation, so support isn’t fee for the right to spend time with the child.

Don’t make a baby if you don’t like the historical bias.

Are the rules and practices stilted towards mothers? Freely admitted.

Life ain’t fair. Sorry.

Paying one’s child support is the bare minimum a parent should do.

That’s what I responded to.
