I got into a slight road rage incident last night

I hate cabbies. Hate them.
But last night wasn't my finest moment. I was driving in the CBD trying to park. Cabbie starts drifting into my lane and almost hits me so I give my horn a little honk. He flys up, gets in front of me and gives me a brake check.
At this point I just start blowing my horn as we go down the block without stopping. He stops gets out of his car and starts screaming at me. I lose my shite. I do something you never do. I got out my car and start cursing him the frick out. It started to escalate but I regained my cool and my wife was really upset with me and scared. I got back in.
I should have stayed in the car. I shouldn't have put my wife's life possibly in danger just because the cabbie is a prick. I should have gotten his number off the back and reported him.
Sometimes you need perspective and to let things go. Never happened to me before. Sometimes you need these things to happen to take a step back and realize some things aren't a big deal.
Anyone ever get into any incidents?

My ex H did something similar. The dude stopped his car, got out, walked up to ours, and my ex was screaming back at him. I was crying & begging him to drive away. Sucked so much & scared me. It was so stupid. No dumbass driver is worth that.

and my wife was really upset with me and scared.
Poor girl would have had no choice but to leave you instead of just sleep around on you.

What was the cabbie saying to defend his driving?

This is just like a Goldennugget thread except you weren't a pussy.

I have had a few incidents. Since the death of Joe Mcnight I have left many of things slide that in the past would have set me off.
There are a lot of stupid people out there that I have realized are too stupid to even talk to.

I had a similar situation about a year ago.
I wouldn't let a car merge into my lane. It was one of those situations where the right lane merging onto the interstate was backed up, but the left lane was clear. This person clearly knew what they were doing and drove in the left lane all the way to the onramp, then tried to cut over. And having done the right thing and waited my turn, I wasn't going to let the guy cut me off.
So he tries to get over and I don't let him. He starts laying on his horn, so I flipped him off (not very mature of me, I admit). He gets out of the car and starts yelling a bunch of gibberish (middle aged Middle Eastern man), so I rolled down my window, mocked his mini van, called him a trashy poor, and kept driving.
Wanted to get out of the car but the SO was freaking out and yelling at me not to. She was right and I'm glad I didn't let it escalate beyond the point it reached.

I was drunk AF last night for a wedding. IDK even know where I was but all I saw was two retards yelling at each other on the side of the road, everyone in the car laughed at them.

I've had the same exact deal happen basically. It was with another driver about 10 years ago. It started on the Port Allen on ramp I-10 east and ended at Highland Rd exit right off the bridge. Pulled into parking lot, he got out, I met him at the back of my truck, fisticuffs ensued. After the dust settled I sat in my truck shaking because I realized if he had a gun he could have killed me. Since that day, I have not had a single rage problem and I just laugh at dumb arse drivers and the occasional frick Off! It's not worth it, especially now with everyone losing they're damn minds. Stand your ground could have cost me or him our lives!
Edit: I did have a pistol in my truck, and the ole boy was from Alabama in a 4x4 mid 90's Jeep Cherokee, and could have possibly been holding.

When I was like 18/19 a giant lifted truck with excessively bright lights got right on my arse and was blinding me. I got over and flipped him the bird as he passed.
He hits the breaks, gets even with me and starts yelling at me to pull over. Guy's biceps were bigger than my torso. I slowed down to try and lose him and he did the same. He then pulled in front of me and slowed down to try and get me to stop. This went on for about 3 miles and he finally drove off.
My two buddies in my car found it a lot more funny than I did

Saw a dude in NO last night riding his bike and someone opened a car door on him, completely flipped, broke the window of the car and landed on his head, he had a helmet on, and if he wouldn't it would have been real bad
