use the term "maths" instead of "math". Now "maths" is beginning to seem more natural to me.

Well it is short for mathematics, and we contract statistics to stats, but I still can't bring myself to say maths.

I'm really not. I'm very approachable and easy to get along with.

Grey is the correct version. Gray is inferior and looks feminine.

The choice is black and white.

That sounds exactly like something a pretentious frick would say.

I prefer cancelling to canceling, personally.

You will no doubt be dismayed to learn that British English is being supplanted world wide by American English. In fact, the English will be entirely speaking our version of the language at the beginning of the next century. American culture has spread to nearly every place on the globe and our language is leading the way.

International business is conducted in American English. So is communication in travel and in emergencies world wide. For example, after one of the Ukrainian attacks on a Russian ship in the Black Sea, a broadcast for help from the stricken Russian vessel was in American English,

“Mayday, Mayday, Mayday! We are sinking!”

We are sinking!

Ambivalent. I'm okay with the imperil system of units or the metric system. Albeit I still don't trust the pound force and pound mass and slugs in the English system. I'll convert to metric, do my calculations and convert back to make sure I get it right.

Because we conduct trade on a global scale, we have no choice but to use the metric system. We are gradually moving away from the imperial system. The metric system is taught in every American school and is the international standard for science and business.
