I don't now why the guardsmen are surprised. These are the same senators and congressmen that will send soldiers around the globe to die for the elected official's personal gain without losing a second of sleep.

I don’t think we yet know who ordered them out of the Capitol, and several lawmakers, on both sides, were pissed last night. A few offered them their offices to sleep in, and Sen. Tammy Duckworth stayed up well into the night helping them get moved to more appropriate locations.

What did they expect? I’m sorry if anyone was ignorant but we should have known they would be kicked to the curb once it was over. I’m all about taking care of the military but they weren’t exactly in that bad of conditions, sorry their phones were low on battery and didn’t have wifi but come on now.

Looks like it w as the Capitol Police that kicked them out.

The National Guard takes orders from Joe Biden.

Yesterday dozens of senators and congressmen walked down our lines taking photos, shaking our hands and thanking us for our service. Within 24 hours, they had no further use for us and banished us to the corner of a parking garage. We feel incredibly betrayed,” the Guardsman said.
Most of the these guys have stayed in much worse conditions, 4,000 miles from home for weeks and months at a time.
I served under every POTUS from Reagan to Trump, it is part of the gig. Easy duty in the grand scheme of things. You're reacting with emotion because you don't like the ways things are going in the country, I don't either, but we've both seen troops treated much worse.

They were moved back inside before you even posted this. In fact the article you posts mentions this.

I'm active duty, have made multiple deployments and this comment is annoying to me. Firstly, you're "deployed" to D.C. Furthest thing from any real harsh conditions or real discomfort. Don't believe they should be there in the first place, but besides the point.
This feels more like an attempt to dramatize an undramatic situation. The pictures I've seen look nothing different than when we were sitting in the sand box doing nothing.
If any politician is there slandering or anything similar; then that politician needs their arse beat. But putting them in a parking garage and then treating it like we've slighted them is just to push some narrative.

Rumor is Dem congressman Will Keating saw a national guardsman without a mask on and words were exchanged

Then that Congressman is a tool.

Good. They were nothing more than props to intimidate Americans and continue to exaggerate the threat of violence from the opposite political side.

Democrats don’t give a shite bout our military.

Toughen up soldier. War is hell. What did you expect, a room at the La Quinta?
