I drove a 26 footer from Houston to DC with my dad. He was 65 and had to stop to piss every 2-3 hours and the highest temps we saw were 30 degrees, with most of the trip around 15-20 degrees.

Even with that, I had a blast. Wish we could have done it in the fall to see the leaves changing.

Did you get your "knob polished" at a truck stop along the way? We're all friends...you can tell us!

U-Haul lets anyone drive a giant truck, even though it's dangerous, because, hey, you're moving.

Yeah, so this is the kid who went to Bama on a full ride because it was a better deal than LSU. So shut up.

That is the purpose for the left lane. It gives you time to come up to speed.

Please show me exactly where I have "cried for a handout."

I don't care about TOPS for all students. I care about LSU being able to at least compete with out of state schools that are offering scholarship money to top students in Louisiana.

Since you don't like handouts, I'm sure you will be declining any TOPS award that your kid might qualify for. Congrats on being a baller.

Thanks. I'm already paying more for high school for my kid than LSU costs. I've also bothered to start a 529.

Why didn't they drive the truck? Wife and I moved out to SF after LSU with everything we had, and a cat and a dog. We medicated the dog and she rode in the car on a trailer. Our box truck was longer than 16' though. It was fun.

Oh I camped out in the left line like a real trucker. Kept it between 5 and 10 under the limit and matched the speed of the trucks in the right lane as often as possible.

You know. To fit in among the truckers.

Next time, drive to Halifax and Maine and look for the handles of Bubbles and Ray. Meet them for hot hamburg sandwiches.

Me a three friends drove from NOLA to Halifax on account of Trailer Park Boys. Actually enjoyed Nova Scotia a lot.
