What’s your take on the emollients clause?
Trump doesn't care about what he makes. He already proved it right last time. He gave his annual salary to other more needed causes.

Do you get annoyed when kids in backseat of passing cars ask you to honk your horn (or do kids these days even know the universal pulling the chain gesture?)
of course. I used to do it as kid. Kids love that stuff. Lol

why?

The same reason I don’t cut in line of someone at the grocery store even if there is room for me between them and the person in front of them. That would be quicker and more efficient too since I would be closer to the cashier by a step and it would take advantage of more of the checkout lane. But I don’t do it because I like to be able to sleep at night.

Zipper merge is the same thing.

i mean I wouldnt think so. I dont know enough other than that would never happen under Trump's leadership. I don't see how that could happen on busy hwys and such. I dont think we are ready for that for a long time.

I tend to agree given all the situations where the human element seems critical. I was curious given all the talk about 3 million truck drivers losing their jobs because of AI.

Have you ever been asked to haul something but they wouldn't tell you the specifics of what you were hauling?

"Don't worry what is in the truck. Just get it there!"
your welcome. Nice slogan!

No I always know what I have down to the hazmat stuff included. I always get a well informed content list inside the trailer and a "weight" listed on my BOL. The weight sometimes wont be correct or they loaded it to heavy on one end of trailer. Usually pretty heavy loads I always go to a weight station at a truck stop(free with company fuel card) and weight w/ ticket proving so, so I can make sure I'm not illegal or illegal on drives or tandems so I can distribute the weight Legally woth the slides under the trailer. That part I don't care for. When I get a load that's only 15/16k lbs, I'm actually relieved it will be an easy trip. I don't even weight my loads then.

Zipper merging that use up the entire "runway" are the best way to go.

To hell with those truckers who block the disappearing lane a mile before is disappears! If that made sense, let's just reduce I-10 to one lane from coast to coast.

Proper zipper merging is by far the most efficient way to get vehicles through the bottleneck. I learned this in the basic operations management class at LSU. Why don't they make this part of the CDL trucker training?

I have an irrational fear of scary bridges. I start sweating and my arse puckers up while I’m death gripping the steering wheel. Pulling a boat across the Huey P bridge does it to me everytime.

I often wonder how big rig drivers could do that shite without having a damn stroke.

Any stretch of road or highway that made you particularly nervous?

What’s your go-to podcasts? What is the purpose of those Mad Max looking spikes that many trucks have on the wheels?
loln there are alot of those. I actually watch some to pick up good info. Just to be baddass. Alot of truckers use their truck as their shrine/personality and take pride in them. So they decorate.

Have you ever been caught pleasuring yourself on the in cab camera or do you cover it up?

Tbh id never work again for a company with inward cameras i believe in my right to privacy. They go off for anything. My company only uses outward facing cameras for people who try to invoke an accident and blame it on us etc. They claimed they dont monitor the driver unless A.I. triggered them the camera to record, so i read a story where a guy was pissed that his company used inward facing cameras so at night when he parked his truck he'd take a giant shite in a bucket, jerk off, frick his woman standing doggy style right in front of the camera. When he brought his truck for his 50k miles maintenence two weeks later, when he got his truck back, they removed the camera

What is zipper merge??

= does it refer to a two lane having to turn into a one-lane and having a long line in the 'merge-to' lane??

But if it does, I think a lot of people do it entirely wrong - the idea of having one long line with nobody occupying the unused lane is stupid beyond comprehension.

All that does is delay the entire roadway. Someone coming upon that ten miles upstream has no idea what is causing it.

The ONLY wise thing to do is form TWO lanes, and give the vehicle in the lane that proceeds thru the right of way, then the adjacent lane goes thru, then the primary lane goes thru, then repeat, repeat repeat.

That way you can cut the long line in half wrt distance, and cut the time require by about 30%.

Everybody coming to a full stop behind a five mile single lane is doing it wrong.

Is the logistical progression and timing of "convoy" possible? And do you condone crashing the gate doing 98?

was raised in trucking. My dad had trucks. I started driving “legally” at 21. I absolutely loved it! With that being said, I have been out of trucking for 18 years and you could not melt me and pour me back into one. Only because of the electric log and Governor trucks. F@ck that! Although I do still keep my CDLs
I get it and understand. I like the electric logs because the way ours works, it's dummy proof and doesn't let you mess up. I actually don't wanna drive more than 9 to 9.5 hours a day anyways. All pretrips I can take photos with the tablet if anything is wrong anytime I change trailers which is alot so that way they know those dents etc didn't happen on my watch. Tbh I dont like writing all that crap down. I rather a program do it for me.

That may explain why truck stops are such busy places.
this is correct about being busy places except for the sex part. Most Loves/TA/petro/Robin places are reputable. They have a dept side and grocery side. Having game rooms/movies rooms/exercise rooms/showers/washing machines etc. They will also have a resturants or fast food places connected. I actually like Petro truck stops too cause they have the "black bear" chain restaurant connected to them. One in Beaumont and San Antonio that I've stayed at and the food is pretty good. As far as sexual favors go I've seen one or two women walking around parking lots literally knocking on truck doors asking if they want company but that's it. Most places are always clean of that kinda stuff. I've never been on west coast or northeast to verify but Texas/LA./Miss/Bama/Ga/SC./Fla., ive never really seen any of this kinda stuff. Maybe happens at more mom and pop truck stops? Wouldnt know.
