I didn’t know people were using different methods to hide their license plate from cameras

The dead leaf could be a plausible excuse.

Any antique store will sell you an older license plate for a few dollars. Choose one from Idaho if you’re down south…. I don’t know that a camera would look at that and tag you for having an out-of-date plate

People are going to adapt.

75% of the cars in Louisiana either have paper plates or just nothing at all anyway

I just never pay red light camera tickets so that’s also an easy way to not worry about it

Interesting! I’ll pass this along to one of my more seedy chauffeurs.

Of all the things one could spend their time, money and attention on...
Hiding license plates is not in top 150.
Is spending less time doing things that require hiding an option?

Not only cameras but also the police. You don’t want anyone seeing the actual number if you’re driving a stolen car.

There’s an easy method to block the cameras but you need A trailer hitch where you can install a bike rack with a bike
An alternative is to use a non hitch type but they’re kind of a pain in the arse

I'm sure the guy that put a dead leaf in his plate wish he got that 2.5 seconds back to do something productive.

I like that one too!
As long as your not riding dirty, you 1000% have a plausible excuse, no way to prosecute that, lol

I do the same. But if you ever park in a city that you have one, they can boot you.

If you are going to block it, do the whole thing.
Heres some insight for any potential patriots or criminals.
With a real LPR system, you can search for a single character on a LP, but the more you have the better.
In the leaf example, you'd put in the search bar GWM193*. BOOM, all vehicles with that plate are found. Then it's a simple process of checking all records for that plate and historical data will usually give you the whole plate..
You can also search by vehicle manufacturers, description and type. Ex: White Ford Truck for any given location or set of locations.

Yea but they do ZERO work for the camera tickets so they won’t get a ticket.

I was in Colorado and wondered how the express lanes see the tags covered in snow.

I put a plastic dealer “advertising” plate on my truck and put my license plate in the truck at the start of hunting season. I travel back and forth across the basin a few times a week this time of year and not interested in getting a $500 ticket bc I made it across faster than they think I should. Not even sure they have started the photo enforcement of speed yet, but not interested in finding out.
