“European” cars? What does this even mean? There’s a huge variance in realiability among countries and brands, and also within brands.

It’s not nice enough to keep in a garage.

I bought it for my son. He was born in 2009. I thought it would be really cool for him to have a "hotrod" in New condition from the year he was born. It's 8 years old and still has the "new car" smell. I think I'll give it to him when he goes to college.

Yup. The new SS are Ike 460/460 at 3700 pounds where the challenger 6.4 is 485/470 at 4300+. The 10 speed auto SS should run with the 10 speed auto 5.0 Mustang.

Thumbs up for a cool sentimental idea.

But every rubber part (and there are probably almost a hundred) will be deteriorated from dry rot over time. I'm talking belts, bushings , hoses, just to name a few.

Rubber has a shelf life, even if it never sees the road or the weather.

I wish you all the luck and hope you do a good job of maintaining this "new" car over time. You know you are going to have to run it at least once per month. Talk to the storage experts.

Don't think you can stick this car in a storage shed for 15 years and just wipe it off and it will be good to go.

jeff and 7thward,

my neighbor and I traveled out of town recently and one of us rented the new Camaro SS and one rented the Challenger. We street-raced like a couple of teenagers late one night, and the Camaro SS won from a dead stop, and from a rolling start at 30 mph, multiple times.

Just an FYI, real world experience. Back to our old fuddy duddy cars.

It's probably actually worse off if it never saw the road.

I'd much much rather buy a 10 year old car with 80000 miles versus the same with 8000

Yep, my 50 y/o chevy had been in storage for 7 years when we took it out and everything you mentioned including fluids, were all replaced before I drove it. And, it was in a climate controlled storage facility on blocks.

Fastest I went in mine was 165. The autos will do 180. Manuals about 170.i want another badly

Did they stop limiting them? They used to shut down at 154. I think they put a governor on because the tires weren’t rated for anything over that speed. I had the Transformers edition when they first came out, and I took it to 154 a couple times. Still pulling strong up to that speed, but then it just shut you down.

Anyone who thinks a pure American muscle car is trashy can suck a dick. Fricking commies.

The 6th gen convertibles are limited to 155 due to the top.

The coupes are not

Not possible. Cars do not fly. Unless they are cargo in an airplane.

I passed the new 2019 Camaro. It was actually pretty sweet. I didn't think I was going to like the redesign from pics, but it's nice

And no pics in thread??
