I haven’t read the rest of the thread, but the people who use “whom” because they think it’s the formal of “who” are much worse.

Cops are the worst about trying to appear smarter by the words they use to describe something.

Traditionally, people have had to learn the correct time to use I vs me because it’s so often misused when I should be the subject.

I was always taught use "I" before the verb and "me" after the verb.

Yeah. I before me, except after “see.”

What supercedes this is when songwriters put it in lyrics.
Worst case that I know of is Bryan Adams'" Run to You" with the opening lyrics of
"She says her love for me could never die
But that'd change if she ever found out about you and I"

Hey Bigot! Don't you know that proper grammar is racist?
Me think you should apologize to I for such insensitivity.

You forgot the fourth option:

non-formal context I'd prefer to go with "can you bring the stuff to me and Stephen?" rather than Stephen and me.
All good. You’re using the right one either way.

It definitely bothers TackySweater and I

I wouldn't say it "bothers" me, but I hear it.

You just remove the other person from the sentence and see if it makes sense.
I had a fun time at the travel ball game this weekend.

It’s really easy. Some people just can’t grasp it and auto-think, “I is the best” no matter what

“this is ______ and I.” Drives me nuts
Don’t let it. Lol. That’s actually correct. The pronoun “I” should be used in that case because it’s in the nominative case (predicate nominative after the linking verb “is.”)
I think that’s the case when the subject is the same person/thing as the object. “The author is I.”
Not sure it makes sense with subject “This” which could be referring to something other than the object pronoun. A photo, for example.
