I can’t stand when people incorrectly use “I” because they think they are smart

Traditionally, people have had to learn the correct time to use I vs me because it’s so often misused when I should be the subject. Common error:
WRONG: Cayden and me had a fun time at the travel ball game this weekend.
This is not correct. So people started to learn the correct way to use it in that above example.
CORRECT: Cayden and I had a fun time at the travel ball game this weekend.
Fast forward and people are over compensating and using I every single time because they think I is always the correct way when they are unsure of which to use.
WRONG: I made some dinner for Hubbie and I tonight.
WRONG: Can you bring the stuff to Stephen and I?
No. That’s not it. You are using I because you think it makes you sound smart and refined, but you are wrong.
