You sleep too late Sunday morning or is it anxiety because you hate your job?

Yep. For me, it's caused by staying up too late on Fridays and Saturdays combined with putting off going to bed on Sundays knowing that I have to go to work when I wake up.

both for me

Saturday night is the drink heavily night, so I'll sleep in Sunday morning and take 1-2 naps during the day. So I'm usually wide awake by about 11pm.

Had same issue.....all day Sunday was hellish looking at the clock and night was a mess.....yes work stress and anxiety related. Best to ask for help (yes even at work) if trend continues assuming it's work related)

I was in a wedding in Ferriday recently and some of the Wedding Pictures got posted here.

I haven't been able to sleep since that happened.

Most likely this.

If you're on a schedule... say getting up at 8am on weekdays and going to sleep at midnight... but on Fri & Sat, you go to bed at 4AM and get up between 10AM and noon that morning, you start to throw your body out of whack from it's normal cycle.

Things you can do:

1) Force yourself to get up close to your regular waking time even if tired. You'll undoubtedly be tired enough to go to sleep quickly that night.

1a) You can allow yourself a short nap (approx 20 mins) during the day to help, but if it's a long (hour plus) nap, you probably won't be able to go to sleep when you want.

2) Basic sleep advice: Don't exercise too late that night; don't take caffeine in any form after mid-afternoon; avoid laptops, ipads & phone screens for an hour before you go to bed (the lights from LED screens trick the brain into not releasing melatonin when it should... resulting in you not feeling naturally sleepy when you normally would/should).

There is a legit issue called "Sunday Night Blues."

Sometimes I stay awake a little longer because my mind keeps going on about the stuff I need to take care for the coming week. I guess it's the "coming back to reality" after a weekend.

Yep. It means you hate your fricking job. But not in the normal "hate my job" way. It's in the "I'm literally losing sleep because that place is killing me inside" way.

It sucks. I slept from 8:40 yo 11:00 last night and spent the rest of the night/morning sloughing around the house. My body's accustomed to about 4 hours of sleep per night, though, so two and change isn't crazy.
