Just take some Tylenol pms
I typically take two benadryls. I was on melatonin for a while a few years ago, but it didn't really help. Now if I'm not pretty far into the wind on the booze, I just don't sleep well.

Not anymore. Few bottles of red wine on Sunday takes care of that

If it's only on Sunday... and you're not oversleeping on the weekends after partying... and it's not stress related as some have suggested... you probably need to do some deeper research on sites that have detailed info about sleep habits and look for any details that fit your situation.
If it's stress, meditation exercises to re-direct your thoughts are the best bet.
If it's only a mild inconvenience, then put whatever effort you feel is worth it to figure out what to do. I personally wouldn't bother with a doctor unless it was seriously impacting my quality of life and I couldn't resolve it on my own.

Welcome to life. Unless you hit the lottery, get used to it. It isn't going away. You just learn to manage it.

I've never had a problem falling asleep on Sunday nights, but I will wake up every 15-30 minutes the entire night. My normal sleep schedule during the work week is 1030m-550am and on the weekends is 230am-900am.
If I take a sleep aide Sunday night, you might as well call me a worthless lump the next day at work.

Yeah dude. I bounce between watch tv and hope to fall asleep to turn off the tv and just stare -- and then I wake 2-3 times during the night.
I don't sleep well anyway, but Sunday's are always the worst

I also seem to scare myself awake if I actually doze back off

Melatonin solves my Sunday night "demons". I tried Tylenol PM but that gave me major anxiety. Seriously don't take Tylenol PM!!!! Melatonin is a Miracle pill and has become a Sunday night tradition just as much as beer has become a Friday & Saturday tradition.

Same problem - sleep in too long on Sundays from a long Saturday.
I just tough it out every week.
We'll see how long this keeps up

Anyone else on here have that problem?
absolutely...my normal sleep routine is about midnight to 8AM, if I have nothing going on. I fall quickly into that routine on weekends, so when it is time to wake up at 5:30 on Monday, I never have more than a few hours sleep...

I get up at 5:30 AM 7 days a week regardless of the time I go to sleep, but that is normally between 10 and 11 PM. Seldom do I stay up later - just start earlier.
I'll take Tylenol PM occasionally or ZQuil or big arse bowl of ice cream although that makes me get up at 4AM and shite.

Yes, even having sex with the wife didn't help.

Lately I've been waking up randomly about 2-3 times every night. Just started happening a couple months ago

Get yourself an eighth of some good weed and one hitter. Problem solved.

I used to have this problem because I dreaded my job but I changed jobs. Lately I started having it again for some reason. Not sure why.

When I worked offshore the night before I went back was hell. I never would sleep more than an the before the alarm went off. The only time I slept a full 6 hrs I went water skiing the day before and I fell asleep at the wheel. Ended up flipping my truck multiple times in Johnson Bayou with no seat belt with the cruise set at 70.

Yes, I can't stop thinking about what's waiting for me at the office after the weekend. For the past 13 years its been the same way.
