Has the Trazadone caused weight gain? I took it after my divorce and I gained weight . Great for sleep and erections though.

Some people’s sleep problems can be cured through meditation techniques

This helped me.

I used to struggle falling sleep and also staying asleep.

I did a few things:
1) No caffeine after 4pm
2) No alcohol after 7pm
3) No TV or phone usage an hour before bed
4) Practice mediation for 10 minutes.

Within a week I was sleeping like a baby. Our brains are stuck in overdrive because we're stimulated all day every day by our technology and drugging ourselves.

Eventually the rules slipped but I maintain the meditation for 5 minutes and it clears my mind. I'm usually out in 20 minutes or so.

Trazadone helped but couldn’t get through the side effects. For about 3 weeks I could barely breathe.

Had tight chest and shortness of breath. Doctor said to fight through it a few more weeks but had to stop

The key to meditation isn't blocking thoughts from entering your head. It's letting the thoughts pass through your mind without lingering.

Master this and you will have peace of mind.

Lay off the caffeine, especially from lunch onward.

Go to the doctor and get a real sleep study, you may be very surprised on what they can help you with.

I could fall asleep typing this response if I wanted to. My mom had bad panic attacks and insomnia for awhile, they gave her Remeron. After that she could sleep like a baby and chilled her completely out, but she gained like 30 pounds on it.

I do 10 minute meditation everyday as a workout just to help with my sleep. When I wake up at 2am I start meditating. I will usually fall fast asleep within minutes.

Once it gets about 3 am, I resign myself that sleep isn’t coming and put a podcast on and lay there. Sometimes I get a few hours. Sometimes I write.

Ever since I did night shifts my sleep schedule is either hard asleep by 10 or getting a few hours if I’m lucky.

My mind races at night

Since the age of 15 I have gotten more than four hours of sleep just a handful of times. Most days now I sleep for two hours, not a minute less, not a minute more. At first I was annoyed by it, but now I enjoy the benefits of extra time. This morning I’ve started on a wood carved manger set. I’m debating walking to the stores for Black Friday. Last year it wasn’t worth it.

My greatest ideas are usually launched between 3:30 and 5:00 AM.

You are an interesting bird. Most night owls are.

It’s said that the mind has a different insight in the witching hours, when the waking world slumbers and the candles burn low.

Plots are hatched and truths are uttered.
I really enjoy your Christmas threads. I love Christmas, yet fear I have too few magical ones left. My children are growing up. Those halcyon years where they still love daddy are waning. And I realize I’ve wasted snuggles and hugs and lullabies working late, or just not being there.

I’ve lived an...interesting life, a dance of tragedy and joy. I realize how thankful I am for the time I got, and wish I had cherished it more when I had the chance.

But that’s the nature of life I suppose. We don’t realize what we’ve got until it slips like sand through our fingers.

If only we could give our younger selves a little wisdom that we’ve garnered and have us listen.

The best way to stay young is not to store your treasures in Earth. Money, possessions, even relationships, are all transient. People mock me here and in the physical world for this worldview that makes me largely impervious to their slights and stones. But staying childlike, with my treasures stored where neither rust nor thief can damage or take, is the way I know to come to the vantage of humility, which is the only was to see the world as it really is. Arrogance and pride and the false maturity attendant to them warp the senses, giving an out is in and down is up view. It’s how Satan views the world and constantly tempts us with that view.

That is two scary sentences.

What is scarier is that people think there is nothing wrong with putting chemicals into your body that makes your chest tight and not able to breath.
