The FTC is vetting a new rule that would make these interactions illegal. Price transparency, communication transparency, and availability transparency will be the new rules of the road.

Naturally, the dealers hate the new rule and are acting like it’s the end of the world to be honest and transparent.

Look up FTC’s CARS Rule for more info.

Did you offer “cash price” for the truck, or did you pay sticker price in cash?

Great and you're right about it being a PITA. Bought a 4-year-old car with 16K on it from a stealership for my wife. Took forever with them playing up the low mileage and me talking about the age. Then there were the stupid add-ons that were eventually removed after numerous trips to the "manager". Got it a the price we were willing to pay and they still made their dough, but it's ridiculous.

Why would you wire the money to the dealer ahead of time?

Considering buying a new truck after my Silverado had pissed me off.

It’s a 2016 and the paint is peeling off. Not sure how the frick that’s even a problem at this point.

I’d like to to see the truck in person.

Also why wouldn’t you just take them a check in person when you do the paperwork?
