You do know a AC system has 2 coils. The outdoor condenser coil and the indoor (cooling) coil. Keeping both clean is ideal but it is way more important to have the indoor coil clean during the summer. That is the one that will jack your bill up and lead to blown blower motors and compressor if they get plugged.
What is the easy way to clean the bathroom inside coils?

I've never had a central unit keep the house as cold as window units.
Not gonna lie, I do love window acs myself.

And don’t forget to change your inside AC air filter every month.
Side note, about 6 months ago my local hardware store dude told me that the cheaper AC filters that look like dryer lint as the filter is better for your AC long term vs the ones that most people usually get because it doesn't force your AC to suck as hard and it's been tested to collect just as much dirt. Anyone ever heard of this?
I wouldnt imagine he would be bullshitting me considering he is selling me on something cheaper than what I was initially going to buy.

Your unit is actively running roughly 10 hours each day?

Poppas grass shite.
If you're talking about Pampas Grass, there's an additional reason to get rid of it. Fire. Pampas grass burns really hot and can spread to any nearby structures.

It’s not quite double but it goes up from .07 kWh for first 1000 to .0803 from 1001-1500. Then anything over 1500 it’s .10 per kWh. Only May to October, all other months is the base rate for all kWh. So if you had 3000 usage your bill is significantly more and last year it was even hire like .11 for anything over 1500.

That is true. AC units aren't designed for those thick filters...

Natural gas prices are also bonkers compared to a year ago.

Thanks for sharing this I'm pretty sure that's making mine go up too. I've never personally cleaned it, last time it was was when it was serviced three plus summers back. There's straightforward videos on Youtube on how to do it.
Good timing, with Demco and Entergy reportedly about to start their rate hike...

My damn A/C condenser unit was damn near plugged. I don’t remember cleaning it last year, but I usually do every Spring. My neighbor has a long hair Sheppard/Retriever mix, and he hangs out between our houses, right where my A/C unit. The whole damn unit was plugged with dog hair.
FYI, go clean your A/C. It’s really simple and takes about 20 mins. You just need a 1/4” nut driver and a water hose. Do not use a pressure washer. They do sell fin cleaning spray at the hardware store.
Hosing down the condenser unit and changing the air filter made mine work so much better.

Listen fat, I've replaced 1 of 3 central AC units and have maintenance agreements on all three. In addition, I've replaced 17 windows facing the sunniest side of the house, and converted every bulb to LED. My electric bill is 40% higher than when I moved in a decade ago.
