Please explain to me how this is a bad thing.

i think he means creating issues and manufacturing storylines. For example, marriage equality is a real problem, since gays can't marry in certain states. On the flip side, the mike brown/ferguson situation was a case of a hoodlum justifiably getting killed by a cop, but was turned into a racial inequality issue.

Crickets. Yeah. That's what I expected.

ETA: Nothing? Ya'll got nothing? Pages and pages of text, hours and hours of time spent telling me how I fricked you, and ya'll can't even get the basic economic facts that you are a lot better off today than I was?

Keep hiding behind your numbers and ignore what is happening in the real world.

What about the national debt? I guess baby boomers had nothing to do with that? What about social security, medicade and medicare? Think that will still be around by the time millenials are at retirement age? No, b/c it's turned into a ponzi scheme and baby boomers will have sucked it dry

Are you using nominal interest rates?

Either way interest rates have been held about as low as they can go due to the economic downturn of 2008. I think the fed has announced that they will start to rise in the near future. You just presented that information in a misleading way. Anyway, I'm not going to go into a lecture of what these numbers actually mean.

Fail to mention the HUGE capital gains that boomers made on the housing market in comparison to those interest rates? Lol. Housing market was one of the biggest money makers for your generation.

Then AT BEST that is a wash! And it assumes that you sold out at the top of the market. If not, we are no better off than you.

And by the way, jackass, we were talking about barriers to entry into the housing market. We had to put twenty percent down. AND even then, we were often underwater or close to it within months. Tell me again how that made it easier for me?

Dude, just stop trolling. You're so far off base. Boomers had it so easy it's not funny.

It won't be around when I reach retirement age. (I am in my early fifties.) I haven't seen a dollar from Medicaid or Medicare, and I been paying into it a hell of a lot longer than you have.

Ugh, that was actually a good thing. Again, it was the baby boomers who fricked things up and started lending money out to people who they knew couldn't repay it, just to make a few more dollars. Baby boomers caused the housing crisis

Yes, and you actually believe the unemployment rate in your numbers. Please tell us more about how tough you have it.

I am absolutely 100% sure that I will yield very little from Social Security. I might benefit a little, that is true.

You can't say that my having to put twenty percent down caused you any harm.

This all started with a big whine about how supposedly I got a free house and two cars and a cushy job when I got out of high school, while life it so hard from you.

I pointed out that it was far harder to get a job, a house, or a car when I got out of high school.

Your response was that I screwed you because my generation made it easier for you to buy a house.

I fail to see how I am the dumbass in this scenario.

I'm not a Boomer, but this is dumb. F-ing bankers, mortgage brokers and Wall Streek were the biggest causes of that fiasco. That includes many generations, Boomers, Xers, Yers, etc.
