I also find it odd that Louisiana, with a shitty bureaucracy if there ever was one, can count all the votes election night but other states cannot.

You should develop your neighborhood in the middle of a cotton plantation.

Growing up on a Marine Base was really a great. In spite of the strict military rules of conduct, we had a ton of freedom. Everyone, regardless of race, was on the same page.

We knew if we acted up, no passing Marine would hesitate to get on our case. We thought it would be hilarious to hang out in the koa bushes by the golf course need a green. If a ball was on the edge of the koa bushes, we'd either swipe the ball or roll it on to the green. If the course wasn't crowded, the one green couldn't be seen from the tee box and we'd put the ball in the cup.

The hilarity stopped with a Gunnery Sgt. showed that he was a better woods stalker than we were. I don't know how long he watched us, but we froze in place when were heard "don't move young men."

Gunnery Sgt. chewed us up and down. Dad gets home and my arse got tanned.

Then, we spent a couple of Saturdays picking up golf balls that had gone into the woods.
