Google is good for something I guess. I was approached by a "Life Coach" to help build him (Sorry, no pics) a 10-15 page website.

I have built many websites before in my life but this is a first for me.

I honestly cannot believe that people "hire" people to be their life coach.

Some of the key bullet points that he wants me to cover on his site:

quote:

Build a Better self-confidence.
Build a growth mindset
Improve self-awareness.
Improve relationships and communication skills
Improve overall well-being
Lower stress levels

Ok, so these seem like very positive things to have in your life, right?

Then, he emailed his pricing table. HOLY shite. This dude is making $3,500+ PER client PER MONTH!

This has to be the most insane thing that I have ever heard people spending money on.

That's serious money to spend for a new "friend" who will basically just be someone to talk to about things in life

I get that people may need strangers in their lives to be their coach but jeeeez.. that's some serious coin for a "Life Coach"

I'm imagining Google's idea of a life coach is a tranny encouraging you to chop off your penis.

Make sure you put a money back guarantee on the website. He may not have asked for it but it is standard practice.

I've known some VERY wealthy people and many of them had life coaches. For the most part they had their businesses sorted out but it was the family, life balance, anger, personal development side they wanted to work on. If you have unlimited funds and want to learn how to be a better person for those around you I support it. Most of these coaches only have around 10-15 clients at a time and are available nearly 24/7

The one high level life coach I know personally has coached fortune 500 CEO's, a world championship boxer, and many doctors. He has a master's degree in psychology, is an ordained minister, and used to train dogs for special forces. Very sharp dude with some great insights

It gets worse. There are coaches who coach other coaches to 'scale' their coaching business. I'm not kidding...

I know a guy who used to check my receipt at Costco. He quit to become a life coach.

I think the old term is consultant.

Always amazes me how people judge others for how they choose to spend their money.

Why the frick do you care how he makes his money or that others choose to pay it?

The guy is giving you business and you repay that by anonymously shitting on him and his clients on a message board???

That says A LOT about who you are.

Rummel,

I don't give a flying frick what you or anyone in this world spends their money on. Jesus Christ, you like putting words into people's mouths. Do you actually think that I am outraged by how some stranger spend his/her money? If you do then perhaps you need to look in the fricking mirror at yourself to actually think that people out there actually stress about how people spend their fricking money.

All I am saying is that I never knew that it was that lucrative of a business. Obviously I have heard of Life Coaches and I know that you have to get certified to be a life coach and all that but I just never knew hiring a life coach would be that expensive.

Life coach gets 5-10 clients and he's set for the year. It's just crazy to me.

A therapist does all of this and doesn’t cost $3500 a month.
