No, most people use the definitions of words. They don't change them to mean something else for their own security. At least mentally stable individuals do not.

Why? If both so secure people, why does it bother you if it is adultery.
I don’t think you understand. True it’s your relationship so you can do as you want. But that doesn’t mean the definition of the word changes. You don’t own that word or create it. You’re only changing it because you’re more insecure then you realize.
