Bring the cat to the pound. Problem solved. Say it snuck out when one of you left.

This is a red flag though, so be warned. Do not marry this girl. Save yourself the headache.

You need to make the cat disappear. When she’s gone for an extended period of time say it “ran away”.

I’ve had a similar situation.

ETA: just read about the other kids. This broad must have a pussy of gold. How old are you? Why are you subjecting yourself to this? It’s sounds like y’all have quite the family. What seasoned mother wouldn’t see this as the cats fault? Brah you need to dip. Hell I can make you disappear. Knowwhayimsayin

If a animal wants to chew then get it some things it can chew.

When I was dating my wife she had adopted a rabbit. The rabbit stayed at my apartment in a cage but was house broken so on occasion I’d let it out the cage to roam. This damn thing could tear up a power cord - and not just small ones. Laptop cords, iron cord, etc. one evening I let it out while working on my laptop with the tv on. I was focused in on a report I was doing and wasn’t paying attention to the rabbit. All of a sudden my tv, surround sound, and cable box goes out. I look up just in time to see the rabbit jump up about 4’ from behind the tv stand. It landed on it side and didn’t move. Figuring, welp This sob is dead, I mosey over to it. As I get close I noticed it had eaten the cord for the surge protector. I lean down to pick up the rabbit and it comes too and bites me. POS. Hated that damn thing

It ALMOST sounds like you're trolling. But I'll answer seriously.

No, you don't kill the cat. You want to kill an animal because you need to replace something that costs $15? Consider the repercussions of killing a cat. Your GF is going to leave you (which is probably the answer here), she may actually sue you for damages, you will likely need to go to anger management. For $15? I'll give you $15, bro. Don't kill a cat for being a cat.

Really think about that one.

this is the first step to recovery
the second is facing the fact that you are going to pay some cat lady child support for the next 18 years for Jody's kid
Not sure what the 3rd is

On a related note, I am beginning to think a large portion of tOT posters are gay since almost anytime someone relates a story about a woman acting like a woman tOT screams to run for the hills. If the posters follow their own advice they are either alone, living with a dude or a woman that acts and reacts like a dude in every situation.

I would 100% rather be a gay dude or a woman if it means I have to adhere to the male standards of the OT. By the way some people on here post I can almost physically see them and it's not that great.

"Woman acting like a woman"

I hope to god you don't have any significant women in your life. If you do, I can only hope you can understand your double standard and often use the phrase "men acting like men" with the same connotations.

But the girl friend insists I buy a new power cord

The Fire Stick uses a USB-Micro USB cable, you don't have 20+ spares lying around?

I honestly have never had to buy one on its own.

No, it's not. Give it to someone who needs a barn cat.

Problem is not the cat but the GF who will own a cat and not make the decision to declaw and remove all of its teeth as well. A cat brings nothing to the table of pet ownership.

Declawing cats is not any more inhumane than having your wisdom teeth out. The responsibility just falls on YOU and your girlfriend to ensure that he/she NEVER gets out or is exposed to other animals that may hurt him.

I'm a cat owner and have now had 3 in my life that were mine. ALL were fully inside and declawed front claws early in life. IF they knew what I knew, I 100% believe they would be ok with the declawing. 2 days of discomfort for a life long of being spoiled, sleeping on couches, eating the best of food.

My cat has the best of everything in life. He had a bad day at the vet. Easy choice. Declaw the cat. Lasers make it a simple procedure these days. Both my last cats werr declawed, home the next day with pain drops, and jumping off of furniture that night. It's not the big deal that animal freaks make it out to be. BUT, you have the responsibility of the cats protected future.

But declawing won't stop it from chewing on things. I've never had a cat that would do that. They just frick up couches and nice pairs of pants.

Surge protector. Fill it with chords. Let the cat chew them. Nature handles itself. Make fun of gf for having a dumb dead cat.

figure out a way to hook your firestick up to a 220 outlet. And I don't know what a firestick is.
