The 5doz box I get every month or so was nearly $13. So I get on my google machine and lo and behold there is some kind of bird flu driving the prices outta sight. Guess I'm out of the loop because this is the first I've heard of the flu situation. Some highlights from the bloomberg article I just read:
Prices doubled in past month to an all-time high on Tuesday.
More than 10% of the country's laying hens have been wiped out.
I am very quite well endowed.
18mo to 2 years to replenish the pop of laying hens.
Waterburger will trim breakfast hours because of the shortage of eggs.
I eat around 6-700 eggs a year so this is going to cost me megabucks.

We have 4 chickens laying right now. Been getting 4-6 eggs a day.

Eggs don't cause high cholesterol. Wish that stupidity would die already. Along with the stupidity of salt causing high blood pressure.
Eggs are very healthy. I try and eat as many as I can, but usually turns out to be just two a day.
Btw, I pay 1.29 for my two eggs in a cup at the deli in the office every morning. Something to be said for convenience.

That's not universally true, the thought is now, some people's bodies don't account for cholesterol intake, they just make a flat amount. So for some eating a ton of eggs could be bad.

What does that have to do with the price of eggs in the U.S.?

They've been killing a lot of chickens. Just buy fresh eggs.

The fact that you called it 'Waterburger' should get you nothing but down votes.

Most people have to actually eat the food for their IBS to cause issues.
